PSC Ep. 51: Can I use a standard liner in a dish-bottom pool?

Can I use a standard liner in a dished out pool?

In today’s episode of Poolside Chat, Rob and Matt tackle another common swimming pool question:

  • Can a regular (non-expandable) liner be installed in a dish-bottom pool?

Can I use a standard liner on a pool that’s dished out 12″ at the center or do I need an expandable liner?

Well first off, I’ll explain the difference between a standard liner and an expandable liner. The standard liner is designed for flat bottom pools and the expandable liner is designed for pools that have a deep end.

A dished out pool means that the bottom is not flat. It slopes down towards the center. A standard liner has enough elasticity to work in a pool that’s dished out to 12”. Anything deeper would require an expandable liner.

Awesome blog! Do you have any helpful hints for aspiring writers? I’m planning to start my own website soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you suggest starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many choices out there that I’m totally confused .. Any recommendations? Appreciate it!
