Are Above Ground Pool Parts Universal?

This is Pool Myths Debunked; today’s myth is: Above Ground Pool Parts Universal

Think above ground pool parts are universal? That myth can cost you time, money, and a lot of frustration.

A lot of pool owners can assume a wall is a wall, and upright is an upright…an above ground pool is just a frame, it’ll fit together…. But that’s not how it works.

Above ground pools use different top caps, uprights, stabilizers, bottom rims and plates depending on the brand and model.

A bottom rim that might match the length and curve of the part you need, may have a different connection type, made of the wrong material, or itsthe wrong shape for your upright and bottom plate combination…..

Unfortunately, there’s no easy way to find a match, unless you can find an ID number on the original part or know the make and model of your pool. For pool owner’s with a 20 year old pool name got lost along with the manual a decade ago…

But, no fear, Inyo Pools is here to identify your pool model and your replacement parts with some basic information and a few pictures…

If you need help identifying your above ground pool; email the following information to agparts@inyopools.com:
