Got a pool party this weekend? Well, let’s make sure your pool is just as ready as you are:
3 Days Before – Test Your Water Chemistry
The fun begins with testing the major pillars of your water chemistry, which are chlorine, pH, alkalinity, and calcium hardness. Check your supply of tablets, shock, and water balancers, too. In case you’re low, stock up so you’re not scrambling the morning of the party. And, while you’re out there, brush the walls and add a bag or so of chlorine shock to jumpstart your pool prep.
2- Days Before – The Balancing Act Begins

Before you start pouring, test your water one more time to lock down the correct dosages needed. You don’t want to under- or overdo it. Follow package instructions for each product, and be sure to wait at least 15 minutes before adding a different chemical.
The Day Before – The Finishing Touch
Add some Clarifier or a dual-action Enzyme cleaner like Pool First Aid to give your water that Gram-worthy sparkle. Skim and brush where needed…
Party Day

Throw out the floats and toys and enjoy it; you deserve it.
The Day After
Start with Non-Chlorine Shock to break down all body oils, sunscreens, and let’s just call them ‘other contributions‘ your guests left behind. Then follow up with a regular shock. Your pool had a big day, so treat it right.
